 Abstract: A {Cu2S2} diamond core has been stabilized thanks to the synthesis of a novel dinucleating ligand. The resulting dicopper complex has been isolated in the two formal oxidation states (see picture) that mimic most of the essential structural, spectroscopic, and functional properties of the CuA center.
