 Abstract: Deploying the so-called ‘Streaking Spectroscopy’ technique at LCLS, we demonstrate a non-invasive scheme for temporal characterization of X-ray pulses with sub-femtosecond resolution. Analyzing the substructure indicates pulse durations on the order of hundreds of attoseconds.
