Zusammenfassung: In this study we use relaxometry and susceptibility mapping to obtain enhanced contrast in the midbrain, in particular in the superior colliculus (SC). High resolution GRE images were obtained in 11 subjects at 9.4T. We calculated CNR values for each contrast for three midbrain regions (superior colliculus, red nucleus and aqueductal gray). were were obtained across 11 subjects in individual and MNI space. These measurement were validated with ex-vivo measurements in the 9.4T, 14.1T and PLI imaging.
