Zusammenfassung: The TIDE-sequence is based on a steady state free precession (SSFP) experiment, where variable flip angles are used to bring the spin system in and out of the signal steady state. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate new implementations of TIDE for 2D- and 3D-applications, where the high S/N and the possibility to start data acquisition without delay are used to create images with contrast so far unattainable with SSFP-sequences. Especially MP-TIDE which is based on similar principles as MR-RAGE is demonstrated to produce images with very high gray-white matter contrast.
