Abstract: Neohapalothrix acanthonympha (Brodsky, 1954) (from the Altai and the Russian Far East) and N. shirozui Saigusa, 1973 (from Hokkaido) are placed in the synonymy of N. manschukuensis (Mannheims, 1938) (from Manchuria). The genus Neohapalothrix Kitakami seems indeed to be a close relative of the European genus Hapalothrix Loew. The tribal assignment of both genera is discussed.
