Abstract:
Within the framework of this diploma thesis, a reaction microscope (ReMi), a
spectrometer for the kinematically complete analysis of ionization reactions, induced
by the interaction of a projectile beam with cooled gas atoms or molecules,
was constructed and characterized. In the present case, the projectile beam
consists of few-fs short laser pulses with a central wavelength of 800nm from
a Titanium:Sapphire laser system. The Target consists of a supersonic gas jet.
Based on the strong-field approximation (SFA), the laser-induced ionization of
xenon atoms was simulated in dependence of the so-called carrier-envelope phase
(CEP) and experimentally investigated. The CEP-dependent asymmetry of the
emission of the electrons released during ionization was of special interest
