Abstract: We introduce a minimal quasi-probabilistic valuation concept and investigate two particularly interesting subclasses of generalized measures : 1. Ranking measures, which subsume Spohn-type and possibility valuations, 2. Cumulative measures, which combine the probabilistic and the ranking philosophy, paving the way to a fine-grained, dynamic account of plain belief in first-order contexts.
