 Abstract: The psychodid genus Atrichobrunettia Satchell is recorded for the first time from Europe. A general description of Brunettia and its relatives is provided and the distribution of possibly related genera is discussed. There are at least two species of Atrichobrunettia in Europe, A. tenuipennis sp.n., and A. angustipennis (Tonnoir), formerly known under the name Mirousiella angustipennis . Genus Mirousiella Vaillant 1974 is regarded as a new synonym of Atrichobrunettia Satchell 1953.
