 Abstract: Neoperla fascipennis Banks, 1931 is redescribed from the type and additional material and is transferred to Chinoperla Zwick, 1980. C. reducta is its closest relative; its description is complemented. Both species and C. nigriceps (Banks, 1940) have a shortened subcosta, while the poorly known type species, C. nigriceps (Wu, 1940) has a normal long Sc.
