Abstract
:
An apparatus for inspecting a flat panel display and a method thereof are provided to determine a failure of a color filter accurately within a short time by measuring changes in color coordinates and the width of a color filter at several positions. A method for inspecting a flat panel display includes the steps of: discriminating whether a stain exists on a color filter or not(S110); photographing the stain on the color filter and plural positions around the stain(S120); measuring the amount of change in color coordinates at the plural positions(S130); and determining the color filter is a failure if the change amount is larger than a reference value(S140).
