 Abstract: A chiral Brønsted acid catalyzes the asymmetric benzidine rearrangement of N,N′‐dinaphthylhydrazines. Different electronically and structurally diverse axially chiral 2,2′‐binaphthyl diamine (BINAM) derivatives are obtained with high enantioselectivity.
