Zusammenfassung:
LHCb is one of the four main experiments at the Large Hadron Collider. Its pseudorapidity coverage, which extends over 2<η<5 region, allows to explore particle production in an unique kinematic range. In particular, the detector is able to carry out measurements of low-pT interactions at large pseudorapidity and thus, has great potential to study soft QCD processes. In this paper, a brief overview of the first minimum bias physics results from LHCb is given. In addition, prospects for measuring diffractive processes are discussed.
