 Abstract: The quadrupolar phase transition of CeB6 in high magnetic fields is studied by mapping the multipolar RKKY model to an effective orbital Hamiltonian. The fluctuation correction to the mean-field solution of the effective Hamiltonian is analyzed as a function of the strength and the direction of the magnetic field. The results are combined with the low-field analysis of the previous paper to obtain a possible high-field phase diagram for CeB6.
