 Abstract: Using an enzymic reaction with allosteric product activation as example, we show that allosterically regulated reactions in small volumes may develop strong microscopic correlations between individual molecular reaction events. Such correlations lead to coherent synchronous activity of the enzymic molecular population which is revealed in frequent periodic spiking of the reaction
