Abstract:
LiSr2[CoN2] (tetrag., P4(2)/mnm (Nr. 136); a = 524.4(1) pm, c = 730.7(2)
pm; Z = 2) was prepared by reaction of mixtures of Li, Sr2N and Co
(molar ratio 6:3:1) in tantalum crucibles under nitrogen (1 atm) at
850-degrees-C. The crystal structure (alpha-Li3[BN2]-type) contains
linear anions [CoIN2]5- (Co-N: 181.0(5) pm) which are isostructural to
[FeIIN2]4- (Li4[FeN2]) as well as to the maingroup species CO2 and
[BN2]3-.
