Abstract:
This chapter discusses the high-throughput experiments for synthesis and applications of zeolites. High-throughput experimentation comprises different elements that need to be integrated in the high-throughput workflow: (1) the automated parallel synthesis of solids, (2) the parallel or fast sequential testing of the relevant properties of the solids, (3) data management to integrate all the data and to extract knowledge, and (4) a robotics environment. The high-throughput characterization technology is necessary, if a correlation of physicochemical parameters of the synthesized solids with the performance is desired. Zeolite science and technology is, therefore, a field where there is a need to accelerate experimentation and achieve a higher throughput. The state-of-the-art in this field, possible directions of future work, and the limitation as far as they can be perceived at this stage are discussed in the chapter.
