An interface between a heavy-fermion compound and a simple metal should
be highly reflecting for ballistic electrons. Since the ratio of Fermi
velocities from both sides of the interface is of order 100, the
transmission probability should be of order 1% only. We present
point-contact experiments on CeCu 2Ge 2 and CeCu 2Si 2 revealing almost
total reflection of ballistic electrons. From the measured reflection
coefficient we estimated the Fermi velocities of CeCu 2Ge 2 (10 km/s)
and CeCu 2Si 2 (1.5 km/s).
