 Abstract: This chapter synthesizes the results of the four case studies discussed in chapters three to six. Opposing policy trends in Italy, UK, France, and Germany were identified. The access to local collective competition goods (LCCGs) among machinery small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), technology transfer, marketing, and training and skills are analysed, and the increasing complexity of economic governance is discussed.
