Abstract:
Provided that the heat of vaporization of a volatile product leads to a change in temperature, as, for example, in ring-closing olefin metathesis (RCM) reactions [Eq. (1)], endothermic or even thermoneutral processes can be subjected to high-throughput screening by an IR-thermographic detection system, a method which was originally designed to screen exothermic reactions.
