Abstract: The requirements for charge density studies of more complex molecules have been realized by use of the FAST area-detector diffractometer in conjunction with a rotating-anode generator, which allows to collect
large quantities of diffraction data within less than two days, independent of unit cell size. Oxalic acid dihydrate has been chosen for
test experiments. Data collection strategies are described and preliminary results are presented. These show that data of sufficiently high quality for charge density studies can be collected.
