Abstract: This work is about strong field effects in Helium. The atom is targeted by two pulses. One of these is very short and high energetic. The other pulse has a energy in the visible and infrared regieme and has a duration of a few femtoseconds. The described system is simulated with three different methods. The methods contain a plain numerical solution of the schrödinger equation, a pertubative calculation of the system and an analytical description for the helium atom. Therefore the atom is abstracted to its groundstate, the first dipole allowed and the first dipole forbidden state. The time dependency is received by variing the time delay between the pulses and the simulations where performed for multiple field strength and frequencys of the lower energetic pulse. From the dipole moment received by the simulations the optical density can be calculated which is directly to experimental observables.
