The polarization transfer dynamics in a recently introduced deuterium-carbon NMR correlation method is studied, both theoretically and experimentally. The technique, which exploits heteronuclear multiple−quantum coherences, is useful for measuring and assigning 2H quadrupolar couplings in ordered media.
