 Abstract: Phase imaging is especially important at high to ultra high fields to both map local field inhomogeneities and highlight important anatomical structures. Obtaining a proper coherent phase image from the combination of multiple receiver coils, however, is challenging. Here, we introduce a generic referenceless phase combination approach able to eliminate most artifacts in phase imaging without the need of a special acquisition protocol or geometric assumptions for the coils.
