Abstract: With the emergence of the field of contemplative science, researchers have embarked in studying changes in subjective experiences caused by engaging in meditation as a global phenomena (Kok, Waugh & Fredrickson, 2013). So far, however the study of distinct patterns of experience elicited by the practice of different types of mental practices have been neglected. We therefore investigate the subjective fingerprints associated with different types of meditation practices subjects learned in three 12-week modules (Presence, Affective, Perspective) in the context of a one-year longitudinal meditation study, the ReSource project.
