 Abstract: ATP-induced contraction of glycerinated fibroblast cells is prevented by grana preparations isolated either from rabbit skeletal muscle or form certain types of tissue-culture cells. The inhibitory effect of the grana added is of an indirent nature and results from a reactivation of the cellular relaxing system which had been retained in the glycerinated objects but had been rendered inactive by the glycerination procedure.
 Abstract: Die Kontraktion glycerinextrahierter Fibroblastenzellen wird durch sog. Erschlaffungsgrana aus Skelettmuskeln reversibel gehemmt. Ähnlich wirksame Grana können aus den Kulturen von Sclerafibroblasten und Skelettmuskelfibroblasten isoliert werden. Die erschlaffenden Partikel hemmen die Kontraktion der Zellen auf einem Umweg, indem die Grana das durch die Glycerinbehandlung funktionell geschädigte Erschlaffungssystem der Zellen reaktivieren.
