 Abstract: A general approach to produce a variety of free-standing asymmetric MOF hybrid membranes and superstructure arrays on "inert" substrates with tailored crystal sizes and shapes was developed. The obtained MOF hyrid membrane exhibits fast actuation in response to external gas stimulus.
