 Abstract: Recent spatio-temporal B0 field monitoring methods utilise an array of NMR probes to measure the dynamics of the B0 field. The B0 field is usually characterised by spherical harmonic coefficients which are obtained from the phase signals (or phase coefficients) of the probe FIDs. A hybrid method is presented that uses a moving average filter in conjunction with a digital phase locked-loop filter to improve the SNR of the phase signals measured by the NMR probes. This method takes advantage of the FID SNR to reduce the phase jitter in the phase signal. It is also easy to implement for real-time applications.
