 Abstract: This chapter describes how two different superresolution microscopy techniques, namely, structured illumination microscopy and direct stochastic optical reconstruction microscopy, can be used to analyze the molecular architecture of the synaptonemal complex. The experimental protocols provided allow the construction of precise localization maps for different synaptonemal complex proteins.
