Abstract: Multi-coil shimming is an effective approach to reduce B0 field inhomogeneity. In this work, we optimized a 32-channel multi-coil to fit best for shimming of the human brain. The individual coils are optimized in terms of size and position. The performance is compared with the conventional symmetric design.
