Abstract: The generation of the baryon asymmetry of the universe via CP-violating oscillations of two almost mass degenerate heavy neutrinos is studied within non-equilibrium quantum field theory. Analytic approximations are found in the case of fast and overdamped oscillations. The perspective of future experiments such as FCC-ee, ILC and CEPC to probe the parameter space is determined. Further, diffusion constants as essential parameters for electroweak baryogenesis are computed to leading order.
