Abstract:
We consider the scenario of the SM phenomenology not being fine-tuned to a specific location in internaldimensional
space. In this thesis the SM phenomenology appears at the two S1/Z2 orbifold singularities of the
5d linear dilaton background. The two messengers between the visible SM- and hidden mirror SM (MSM) sectors,
are a self-stabilising bulk scalar, the dilaton, and a 5d 1-form field, electric dual to a 2-form. The bulk U(1) 1-form,
coupling to the lepton sectors, is necessarily introduced to saturate the Planck bound with the freeze-out relic density
of the mirror neutrinos. The hidden SM is screened by the gravitational background induced rescaling and
suppressed coupling. We implemented the model in FeynRules and generated numerical results for the freeze-out
relic density in a selected parameter regime.
