Zusammenfassung: Synthetic host-guest complexes are inherently dynamic as they employ weak and reversible noncovalent interactions for their recognition processes. We strategically exploited dynamic supramolecular recognition between fluorescently labeled guest molecules to complementary cucurbit[7]uril hosts to obtain stochastic switching between fluorescence ON- and OFF-states, enabling PAINT-based nanoscopic imaging in cells and tissues.
