 MPIPKS: Superconductivity and magnetism
Abstract: Metallic nanoclusters and aromatic molecules are nano systems which display pair correlation similar to that in usual superconductors. Metallic clusters contain delocalized electrons whose states form energy shells similar to those in atoms or nuclei. Under special but perfectly realistic conditions, superconducting pairing in metallic nanoclusters is very strong. For realistic sets of parameters one can expect a high value of T-c ((sic) 150 K); in principle, it is possible to raise T-c up to room temperature. Electrons in aromatic molecules form a two-dimensional finite Fermi system and also can display phenomena caused by pair correlation. (C) 2020 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
