 Zusammenfassung: A complete analytical solution is presented of the NMR bandshape of an exchanging pair of dipolar coupled spin-1 nuclei. It is shown that this case belongs to a separate class of exchange problems which we call two-level exchange. This class can be mapped onto harmonic oscillator equations with complex damping constants. A classification of the solvable and nonsolvable two-site exchange problems is given. Experiments are carried out on a single crystal of deuterated potassium oxalate monohydrate. Spectra which display all possible features from the extremely slow to the extremely fast exchange limits are presented and analyzed.
