Abstract:
The status of "complete" photoionization experiments or angular momentum resolved photoelectron spectroscopy is reviewed. It is shown that this hitherto very exclusive field of atomic photoionization studies has gained importance after the development of different complementary methods. A showcase example for each method is discussed and the results are compared with calculations. It is shown that the most recent results give strong evidence for a more general validity of the non-relativistic Cooper–Zare model than originally expected.
