For this thesis a portable optical set up was built for the characterization
of absorpion properties of complex molecules in liquid phase. We examined
the ground state absorption of aluminium phthalocyanine chloride in various
ethanol/water solutions. First, the optical density of two cuvette models was
compared. Afterwards, the behaviour in solutions with different water proportions
was studied. During this step, the sample preparation was optimized.
Additionally, using cuvettes of different pathlengths we examined the limitations
and application of the Lambert-Beer-Law. It was shown that a linear
behavior is only visible for certain concentrations. At last, through long-term
measurements the molecule stability was examined.
