Abstract:
The intrinsic photoluminescence of high mobility and dense two
dimensional electron gas in symmetric narrow GaAs quantum wells
has been investigated in magnetic fields up to 22 T and
temperatures from 1.7 to 60 K. The observation of a new
emission line seen below the ground state recombination and
showing a saw-tooth like behaviour with the magnetic field is
reported. This transition is tentatively attributed to red
shifted replica of a recombination process involving electrons
from the Fermi level. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights
