 MPIWG_PROJECTS: Global Perspectives of Knowledge
Abstract: This contribution analyzes comparative studies on Jews and Muslims, particularly in the Iberian Peninsula, being the relationship between these communities and their histories a topic that has aroused great interest in recent years. We focus on recent studies of their groups as minorities which take a clear comparative perspective, base their analysis on historical data and contribute to the formation of theory and methodology. The period covers approximately 1989 to 2022, with special attention to the last decade and includes publications by scholars from different disciplines and specializations, among them the academic honored here, Maria Filomena Lopes de Barros.
