 Abstract: We report here the first application of CNTs as catalysts in the ODH of 1-butene to butadiene. The catalytic performance of the CNTs is remarkable high and stable, superior to that of activated carbon and iron oxide. The characterization of the CNTs before and after reaction is made to test the hypothesis that oxygen functional groups are the active sites for the ODH reaction.
