Zusammenfassung: Possible ways of realization of a so-called complete experiment for atomic Auger decay, i.e. experimental determination of the Auger amplitudes, are discussed. Recently found relations between parameters characterizing the angular distributions and the spin polarization of Auger electrons have led to a revision of our understanding which measurement can constitute a complete experiment. Now it is clear that in general, information on both particles in the final state, electron and residual ion, is necessary. Examples of recent almost complete experiments are discussed.
