Abstract:
Commercial weak basic anion previous termresinnext term (Dowex M-43) was used as support for gold nanoparticles (previous termAu NPs). Au NPsnext term stabilized by tetrakishydroxypropylphosphonium chloride (THPC) were immobilized on the support (previous termAunext termTHPC/Dowex M-43). In alternative, previous termAu NPsnext term were generated by adsorbing NaAuCl4 on the previous termresinnext term and then reduced by NaBH4 (previous termAunext termads/Dowex M-43). These previous termcatalystsnext term were tested in the liquid phase previous termoxidationnext term of glycerol in a glass previous termbatch reactor: Aunext termTHPC/Dowex M-43 showed better activity than previous termAunext termads/Dowex M-43. The higher activity can be attributed to the smaller previous termAunext term nanoparticles in previous termAunext termTHPC/Dowex M-43 than previous termAunext termads/Dowex M-43. Moreover previous termAunext termTHPC/Dowex M-43 was tested in the glycerol previous termoxidationnext term in a previous termfixed bed reactornext term showing good stability during the reaction time. All the previous termcatalystsnext term have been characterised by TEM, FT-IR and XPS.
