 要旨: The correlation function between two emitted electrons has been calculated as a function of their momentum difference for double ionization of 1s2s excited He atoms by fast ion impact. A simple quantum mechanical approach is developed to take into account the dynamics of two-electron ejection as well as the effects of electron exchange and correlated electron motion in the final state. A clear difference between the correlation functions of the excited and ground state targets is reported.
