 Abstract: We report on a measurement of the inclusive cross sections of Lambda, (&ULambda;) over bar, K-S(0), (&UXi;(+)) over bar and Omega(-) production by Sigma(-) and pi(-) of 345 GeV/c momentum and by neutrons of 260 GeV/c mean momentum in copper and carbon. The differential cross sections as function of p(t)(2), show a distinct non-gaussian behavior above 1.2 (GeV/c)(2). A comparison of the x(F)-dependence of Lambda, (&ULambda;) over bar and K-0 production with calculations using PYTHIA and the QGSM model is discussed.
