Abstract
The article discuses employment policy and social policy in terms of both dealing with distribution issues, be it jobs and the labor market or questions of income, benefits, and status. Particularly in Germany, the financing of social security is directly tied to the situation in the labor market. The Dutch social and employment policies and sense of social justice are compared to those in Germany.
