Abstract

Der Autor zieht einen wissenschaftssoziologischen Vergleich zwischen der Funktionsweise und der sozialen Organisationsform von Kernphysik und Informatik. Ausgangspunkt ist die steuerungstheoretische Frage, weshalb die Kernphysik erfolgreich als staatlich geplante Großforschung betrieben werden konnte, während dies im Falle der Informatik und Informationstechnologie nicht in gleicher Weise gelang.
