Abstract
From the insect material of a six-year emergence investigation 32 hoverfly species were found along the Erlenbach and 23 along the Breitenbach. The four most frequent species in both traps were not identical. A lot of the caught females were ready for laying eggs. The number of individuals according to ecological and trophic divisions showed distinct differences at the different stations. Possible reasons for the results are discussed.
