Abstract
The current state of taxonomy of Black flies in the Middle European region is shown. A regional checklist including all morphospecies expected to occur in this area is supplied. Information about distribution and occurence of every species is given. Furthermore, comments on determination of the eggs, larvae, pupae and adults of indigenous Simuliidae with reference to other publications are offered.
