Abstract
Maruina (Aculcina) caceresi spec. nov., the first Peruvian representative of the genus, is described and figured. Its closest described relatives, M. (A.) amada HOGUE and M. (A.) querida HOGUE live in Costa Rica. The new species is readily distinguished from both by its narrow aedeagus and the presence of a Y-shaped distal aedeagus sclerite.
