Abstract
11 species of Mermithidae are recorded in running waters of Eastern Hesse. One genus, Torsiomermis , and 4 species, T. granularis, Hydromermis illiesi, Lanceimermis schlitzensis, Gastromermis dorsospicularis , are described as new. Some other species are recorded for the first time since their description. Over 90% of the specimens were found in interstitial biotopes.
