(new record), C. nigra (Meigen) (new record), Wiedemannia bilobata Oldenberg (new record), W. escheri (Zett.), W. fallaciosa (Loew) (new record), W. lamellata (Loew) (new record), W. lota Haliday, W. hygrobia (Loew) (new record), and W. tricuspidata Bezzi (new record). Four new species are described: Wiedemannia balkanica, W. kroatica, W. ariadne and Roederioides malickyi. All together records of about 30 spp. are known from the Balkan and Aegean areas, which are still rather unknown concerning aquatic Empididae.
